The fourth episode of the actual play write-up of my game set in an upcoming Arabian-nights themed setting book called Al-Rathak: Tales of the Crescent Kingdoms
Btw I handle foraging a little differently in Kal-Arath from the way I think you do: I roll for each party member, which means there's sometimes a real abundance of rations (as opposed to rolling just once and having to divide any found rations among several characters). I worry about your characters going hungry, as well as facing danger!
Yeah I do a similar way, I assume each able-bodied character is gathering rations on their own and managing their own supplies, with some exceptions based on the fiction. So those starving shipwrecked people I rescued need to have rations given to them but I assume full party members like Amir are gathering their own. I roll for forage once, and that's the amount each person finds for themselves.
Random encounters smoked my characters on my first two plays of Kal Arath. Then I started hiding, running, and recruiting allies. I really enjoyed this write-up. Love the setting.
More allies and more hiding is definitely the way to go for next time. The issue with an island adventure like this is I can't just hire more people. I gotta find them on this island and hope they're friendly!
This one was so much more bloody than the last chapter, but it was a very exciting read! Poor Raina, I hope Khalid can survive long enough to explore the treasure!
Thanks for checking it out! I tend to write the small damage numbers as like “cuts and scrapes” narratively but if a character takes death level damage or an exploding dice off one attack, I write with full bloodlust!
Keep going Khalid! Im always waiting for your next session reports, i enjoy your writing a lot! Im seriously thinking on get my own solo play with Kal-Arath!
These tales are my favourite AP write-ups!

Holy night encounters! What a great read. I am so looking forward to trying out Al-Rathak!

That's tough. Good luck!
Interesting island adventure. Their camp site seems to be pretty dangerous.
Yeah the nighttime encounter rolls keep the game really dangerous when in the wilderness.
Love it! RIP Raina though...
I know! Was really hoping that random meeting would go somewhere.
At least Bargle didn’t get her.
